About Dr. Jordan
 

A native of the Boston area, Dr. Jordan is a clinical psychologist committed to helping people improve their lives and achieve their most meaningful goals. Good therapy begins with good assessment, and a careful psychological evaluation is at the foundation of any treatment with Dr. Jordan, who tailors his approach to patients’ unique challenges, strengths,  values, and life circumstances. Therapy with Dr. Jordan is practical and goal-directed. He draws on proven behavioral principles to help patients with both self-acceptance and personal change.

Dr. Jordan’s clinical approach is rooted in psychological science. He has authored over 40 publications and has a book under contract with Guilford Press. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, cited over 5000 times, and featured in media outlets such as the New York Times and Good Morning America. Dr. Jordan is on the staff of McLean Hospital and teaches at Harvard Medical School. He also taught for over a decade at the Tuck School of Business and in the Master of Health Care Delivery Science program at Dartmouth College. Previously he served as the PTSD Expert Evaluator for the $45 million VA-DoD Consortium to Alleviate PTSD. He has supervised clinical interns and postdoctoral fellows and has instructed undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. He has provided leadership development coaching to C-level executives in Fortune 100 companies and has been retained as an expert consultant in major civil litigation.

Dr. Jordan received his Ph.D. and M.A. from Stanford University and his B.A. from Harvard University, Phi Beta Kappa and with highest honors. His internship was in the National Center for PTSD at VA Boston. He completed postdoctoral fellowships at VA Boston and Dartmouth College.
