Dr. Jordan’s practice focuses on assessing and treating adults with a variety of psychological difficulties, including but not limited to:
- Generalized anxiety (worry)
- Social anxiety
- Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Bipolar disorder
- Personality disorders
- Phobias (intense fears)
- Panic attacks
- Prolonged or complicated grief
- Substance abuse and addictions
Dr. Jordan also specializes in helping individuals who are struggling with general life challenges. For example, a client may need support in navigating a transition at work or in a romantic or other personal relationship. Clients have described Dr. Jordan’s therapy approach as empathetic, attentive, flexible, and appropriately challenging.
Session Frequency, Length, and Fee
Psychotherapy usually occurs on a weekly basis, and each session is typically 45 to 60 minutes. Extended and more frequent sessions are also available. The total anticipated length of treatment varies depending on the client’s individual needs and can be discussed following an initial evaluation with Dr. Jordan.
Dr. Jordan is an out-of-network provider. The fee for each standard-length session of psychotherapy or psychological assessment is $300. By paying privately, clients are afforded maximal privacy; mental health diagnoses and treatment details need not be shared with insurers. Moreover, private payment allows the terms of treatment to be determined solely according to clients’ needs, rather than being dictated or restricted by insurance companies. A limited number of sliding scale (i.e., reduced fee) slots are reserved for clients who provide evidence of financial need.
If clients whose insurance plans include out-of-network benefits wish to file with their insurance for partial reimbursement of fees, Dr. Jordan will be happy to provide the necessary receipts for services.
